We are currently working with the Forum to develop enhanced mechanisms for sustainable marine management.
The UN Joint Group of Experts on the Scientific Aspects of Marine Environmental Protection (GESAMP)
John chaired the GESAMP working group on aquaculture and environment from 1997-2002 which produced report 68: planning and management for sustainable coastal aquaculture development. The working group, of which he remains a member, is currently developing guidelines on environmental risk assessment for aquaculture.
Department for International Development Aquaculture and Fish Genetic Research Programme (AFGRP)
